NATO Deploys Jets to Monitor Ukraine

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has deployed a number of reconnaissance aircrafts over Poland and Romania to monitor the Ukrainian region of Crimea, currently occupied by Russian forces.

The Pentagon has sent seven fighter jets as part of the NATO force, routing them to Siauliai air base in Lithuania.

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama will meet with new Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk in Washington on Wednesday, to show support against the Russian aggression.

On the other hand, Russian President Vladimir Putin had refused to establish relationships with Yatsenyuk and other Ukrainian new officials and continue to support a referendum in Crimea on joining Russia.
