Forty-seven Air Force pilots have resigned in Turkey in January 2014,
Turkish Defence Minister Ismet Yilmaz said today, Turkish newspaper
Milliyet reported.
The minister has not given a reason, according to the newspaper.
Earlier, Yilmaz reported that 300 Air Force pilots have resigned in Turkey over two years.
"F-16 and F-4 fighter pilots resigned," he said.
The minister also stressed that the resignation of these pilots has led to a personnel shortage in the Turkish Air Force.
"The resignation of the pilots will not weaken the Air Force of the country," Yilmaz added.
