Obama Says No Need for Ground Infantry to Battle ISIS

United States President Barack Obama claimed that he does not need to send his infantry to battle the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The statement came after ISIS had released footage of the execution of a United States citizen identified as Peter Kassig.

Obama, however, said that his decision might change if ISIS is proven to possess nuclear weapon. Experts believed that ISIS has not yet obtained nuclear weapon. Nevertheless, Obama's statement underlines the new limitation.

General Martin Dempsey, Joint Chief of Staff of the United States said that the US has the opportunity to deploy its infantry. However, he is yet to recommend such thing.

Since the rise of ISIS, Obama has condemned the savage actions of the militants group three times. However, ISIS seemed to neglect the warning, continuing to wage terror against Obama and his allies.
